Fekir: Lyon still targeting Champions League despite PSG win

Lyon are not thinking about challenging for the Ligue 1 title despite cutting Paris Saint-Germain s lead at the top of the table to eight points with a 2-1 win, according to Nabil Fekir.

The Lyon captain gave his team the lead in stunning fashion inside two minutes at Groupama Stadium on Sunday, bending a 30-yard free-kick past the out of position Alphonse Areola.

After Layvin Kurzawa s thunderous volley and Dani Alves red card for dissent, the game appeared to be drifting towards a 1-1 draw that would have left PSG with a double-digit cushion from the chasing pack.

But substitute Memphis Depay beat two PSG defenders and thumped a curling 25-yard drive into Areola s top corner to wrap up a night of high-quality finishing.

Sassuolo managing director confirms Napoli and Juve want Raspadori

Sassuolo managing director Giovanni Carnevali says Juventus are still competing with Napoli to try and sign Giacomo Raspadori and anything can happen before the transfer window closes.

Napoli are reported to have emerged as the favourites to sign the Italy forward, who has just under two years remaining on his contract.

Juve are said to have cooled their interest in the 22-year-old, who was part of the Azzurri squad that won Euro 2020 last year.

Sassuolo sold striker Gianluca Scamacca to West Ham last week for a fee £30.5million (€36m) plus £5m in add-ons and look set to lose another prized asset.

Borussia Mönchengladbach 21/20 to beat Koln in Sunday’s Bundesliga clash

Competition: Bundesliga

Market: Borussia Monchengladbach to beat Koln

Odds:

The Bundesliga returns for yet another massive round of action as the competition continues to heat up. The table has remained very tight with the exception of Bayern Munich at the top, meaning that a win can quite often see a side climb up a number of places. With all of this in mind, Borussia Monchengladbach travel to face Koln on Sunday.

Koln have been awful this season and they have already been cut adrift from the rest of the pack. After 17 games they have won just once, they have drawn three games and lost 13 times, while they have scored 10 goals and conceded 32 times. In their last five they have been slightly better, losing three, drawing one and winning once, …

Bayern Munich 0 Sevilla 0 (2-1 agg): Heynckes´ men seal routine progress to semi-finals

Bayern Munich avoided the pitfalls endured by some of their fellow European heavyweights as a goalless draw against 10-man Sevilla booked a place in the Champions League semi-finals.

Last week s 2-1 comeback win at the Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan proved enough as a spirited Sevilla were unable to respond with the away goals they needed.

Bayern wrapped up a sixth consecutive Bundesliga title with a 4-1 win at Augsburg on Saturday but this was a patient, workmanlike display with scant evidence of the thrills witnessed elsewhere in this week s quarter-finals.

Sevilla enjoyed enough openings in the first half to make life uncomfortable for their illustrious hosts but lacked composure in front of goal.
